Fire Department

The River Oaks Fire Department is a career fire service organization providing fire suppression, emergency medical services, Haz Mat, and rescue services to the citizens of River Oaks and surrounding communities. The River Oaks Fire Department had a rich history as a volunteer organization for many decades. The transition to a full time career department took place in October 2019. The Department now has 12 full time professional firefighters divided into three shifts of four personnel. These personnel work a 48 hours on duty, 96 hours off duty schedule ensuring a crew of dedicated professionals is always ready to respond to any fire or EMS emergency in the area.
