Chief Russell Shelley Sworn In As Fire Chief

City Manager, Marvin Gregory, swore in Clinton "Russell" Shelley today as the fire Chief of the new and improved full time fire department that starts on Tuesday, October 1st, 2019 at 7:00 A.M. For over 70 years the River Oaks Fire Department has been a volunteer fire department but with volunteerism on the decline, the City has taken the step forward to establish a full-time fire department in order to provide adequate emergency medical and fire service protection to all the citizens in the City of River Oaks. All new full time personnel has been interviewed and hired and Chief Shelley states we are ready to go.
