City Council Adopts Ordinance Regulating Short Term Rentals

Ordinance # 1377-2023 was adopted on June 13, 2023 regulating short term rentals, providing for administrative fees associated with permitting and inspection of short term rental properties in the City of River Oaks that will become effective 30-days after its passage. Short Term rental means the rental for compensation, for any residence or residential structure, or a portion of a residence or residential structure, located within a zoning district where the residential use is lawful, for the overnight lodging for a period of not more than 30-days. A short term rental shall not include a hotel, motel or boarding home. See the enclosed Ordinance that was adopted.
