Tarrant County Public Health today reported five new deaths, for a total of 277 confirmed deaths. 9,619 people have recovered. Tarrant County also reported 857 new cases for a total of 19,871 positive cases. In River Oaks today there are 4 new cases for a total of 77 positive cases in River Oaks with 28 recoveries and 1 death for a total of 48 active cases.Texas now has more than 282,000 cases and more than 3,400 deaths. More than 149,000 Texans have recovered. More than 2.9million tests have been conducted in Texas. There are now more than 3.4 million confirmed cases and more than 137,000 deaths in all 50 states. More than 1 million people have recovered from the virus. Commercial labs and state and local public health labs in all 50 states and the District of Columbia are currently using COVID-19 diagnostic tests. More than 41.7 million COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the U.S. Tarrant County Public Health advises residents to stay home as much as possible; engage only in essential activities; and always maintain social distancing. If you do go out, cover your mouth and nose with a mask or scarf. Older adults and people of any age with serious or chronic medical conditions should cancel or postpone nonessential travel.
